Eagle Rock Baptist Church Welcome

Basic beliefs

You may have questions about what members of Eagle Rock Baptist  Church  believe. Some of the basic beliefs of the Church are:

God is your Heavenly Father. No matter who you are or what you have done He loves you and wants you to return to Him. (John 3:16)
Jesus Christ is the only Begotten Son of God. He is our Savior.
Jesus wants us to live in peace with Him and have Eternal life.
Jesus redeemed us from spiritual death to spiritual life by the shedding of His blood on the cross, dying on the cross for our Sins, Burial, resurrection and  Rising from the dead on the third day, defeating death and Sin. (1 Peter 3:18)
His ascension into Heaven and being restored to the throne, seated at the right hand of the Father, is our sure Knowledge that He is a living God and has power over death, even death on the cross. (Colossians 3:1, Philippians 2:8-11)
Jesus saved us from our original sin on the cross.
Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, His death, burial, resurrection and ascension you can return to live with God by trusting in Jesus Christ, There by willingly keeping his commandments. (Romans 10:9)
The Holy Ghost helps you to recognize the truth by convicting you of your Sins and pointing you toward Jesus.
The first STEP TO PEACE with God is faith in Jesus Christ, then Admitting that you are a Sinner, then turning from your Sins to Jesus, asking for forgiveness and inviting Him into your Heart, Being sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the fullness of times, followed by Baptism by submersion and then growing in the knowledge and the Grace of the Lord.
The Bible is the infallible word of God.
Your life has a sacred purpose.
Through serving others, you can experience joy and draw closer to God.
The best way for you to receive answers to your questions is to talk with a friend or acquaintance who is a member of the Church. We can locate a member in your area who would be glad to talk with you. You are also welcome to come and worship with us.
